Sparkle
I adore things that sparkle and shine. I pass this house on my runs and it makes me smile every time. I am grateful for the reminder of joy in every day. And yes I do the hustle sometimes.

Friends
I ran past these 2 ladies and wanted to stop and say hello. I didn’t. I chose not to disturb them as they seemed to be deep in discussion solving the world’s problems.
I am grateful for moments like this… reminders time and the value of a conversation. Reminders of the blessings of friendships and age.

Pizza
Classic Chicago thin crust pizza from a local “joint” saves my day today. I was tired, hungry and out of dinner ideas so this hit the spot. I am grateful for pizza and the ability to support local businesses.

Some gave all so today I gave some.
Today I donated blood as a thank you to those men and women who protect my freedoms. Throughout history, each and every day men and women put on a uniform, fight and often give the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we often take for granted. We must express our gratitude to these valiant soldiers and their families not just on days like today, Veterans Day, but every day. Freedom is not free. Someone always pays a price. Let us never forget and always be grateful….🇺🇸
